Habeas Corpus Auditions
7:30pm, Tues 5th Feb 2019
Amidst the seaside air of Brighton, the antics at the Wicksteed home are a satirical mess of passion. Family, friends and strangers become entangled in the sexual satisfaction of the “corpus” (body) – all except the innocent maid Mrs Swabb, the observer of all ill-judged lunges into lust and general wrong-doings. Think fake breasts, dropped trousers, unfortunate mistaken identities, and one strong family motto: He whose lust lasts, lasts longest.
Habeas Corpus is TODS entry into the Kent Drama Association Full Kent Play Festival 2019, and will be directed by David Waters. The play will be performed 23rd-25th May 2019 at Tenterden Town Hall, and will be adjudicated during the Friday night performance as part of the festival. Rehearsals will likely be Tuesdays and Thursdays, commencing on Tuesday 5th March, subject to the cast’s availability.
Auditions will be held on Tuesday 5th February 2019 for six male and five female roles – take a look at our audition files below for details! Our auditions are open to all but we request that each auditionee pays the £15 TODS membership fee before auditioning. The show fee for this production will be £10.
