Sadly, we have lost one of our most vibrant, colourful performers, in the form of the wonderful Joan Eade. Joan passed away at home with her family recently and her loss will be felt by so many. She performed with many drama societies over many decades. Prior to moving to Tenterden, Joan spent many years with CODS in Cranbrook, Kent. One of her final performances was in our production of Steven Sondheim’s play, Follies in 2019 at the age of 89. She played Hattie giving us a wonderful rendition of ‘Broadway Babies’ which naturally earned huge rounds of applause at each show. She loved the Theatre and performing and was one of the funniest and honest people you could meet. We will all miss you Joan.
